Help in Michaelis-Menten Plot

[Good morning,

I am Shero, a 5th year Phd student in the Janet Smith Lab. I have recently submitted a paper to ACS chemical biology, but the reviewer did not like old-fashioned Michaelis-plot equations and suggested that we should apply the new ones (https://www.beilstein-journals.org/bjoc/articles/15/2). Do any of you have experience in kinetic assays and can tell me how reliable the new equations are? Also I have a few questions about them as well.
